Welcome back to the “Fight for the Spotlight” website! We’re proud to announce a brand new, second season for the Spring 2012 semester! That being said, EIV will be having a Crew Interview Fair in Ansin 503 from 11am-4pm! Please visit the Facebook page for more information!

THE DAY IS FINALLY HERE!

Today is the big day!

We are SO excited and truly cannot believe that we have four amazing teams coming into Studio A to compete against one another! Our crew is SUPERB! We really could not have asked for a more supportive group of people!

Last night we set up the majority of the set and our AMAZING lighting designer, Zac Consenza, brought his two fantastic assistants, Jason Mauro and Ethan Weiser! A huge thanks to Anthony Fiorillo and his friend as well! We are SO happy with the way everything is turning out so far!

So here we! Making our way to Studio A to put all of the last FOUR MONTH’s hard work into action! LET’S MAKE IT THE BEST THING EVER!

The “Meet the Contestants” tab is officially updated! Click to see who is competing in the upcoming show this Saturday! If you’re already a contestant, check it out to see who your team will be battling against! For the contestants, the color of your background is the color of the shirt you will receive! Start thinking of team names with your fellow members!

We’re all getting so excited for the first taping! We’re only 5 days away! The segment crew has been super busy filming and editing our man-on-the-street packages as well as getting questions from Emersonians around campus! As a reminder, if you haven’t submitted a question yet and would like to do so, you still have time! Even if your question isn’t selected this time around, we have another taping in November with two more episodes!

If you’re just now tuning in to “Fight for the Spotlight” – you can still register your team for these upcoming episodes! Simply click here for a team, or click here to register as a single contestant and we’ll pair you up with three others!

The emails have officially been sent out to the teams competing on the October 29th taping session! If you submitted as a single contestant or with a team – check your email! As soon as everyone confirms their availability, we will add a new page to the website featuring our star contestants!

We are so happy that we had such a huge interest in this show! If you haven’t heard about us until now – check out the “Be A Star!” tab or the and the “Single Contestant” underneath it and sign up! We still need contestants for the November 12th taping for both 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm! If you can’t compete – please submit questions to ask these amazing students! Just click the “Submit a Question” tab to get started!

Tabling!

Today and tomorrow (October 17th & October 18th) we will be tabling in front of the DH taking question submissions and signing up contestants for our two shoot dates:

October 29th: 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm
November 12th: 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm

We are super pumped to have so many Emersonians involved in this! So sign up – tell your friends – and get excited! THIS IS GOING TO BE SUPER AMAZING AND YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS BEING A PART OF IT!

Getting the Word Out!

Emerson College has officially been tagged with a whole bunch of beautiful flyers advertising “Fight for the Spotlight”! If you haven’t seen them, keep an eye out on bulletin boards in all the academic buildings and dorms!

On top of this accomplishment – our crew has been finalized and notified (as you can see by the blossoming pictures beginning to appear on our “Meet the Crew” page!) We are just SO excited to begin working with all of these great people!

However – what we need now is YOU! Being that our behind-the-scenes people have been cast in their roles, we need contestants to participate in front of our cameras! If you have a team of four or would like to enter as a single contestant to be paired up with three other people, please click the “Be A Star” or “Single Contestant Sign-Ups!” tab and fill out all the necessary information! It only takes a few minutes to sign up, and only a two hour commitment to be on TV!

Also – we need questions! If you think you can stump one of your fellow classmates, toss us a question under our “Submit a Question” tab! We love a challenge - and I’m sure you’d love to see your question battled over on TV!
